Dewees Island is a short ferry ride from the Isle of Palms, near Charleston, SC. With no restaurants or stores, no cars or stoplights, Dewees offers a return to nature with all the comforts of home. Enjoy fishing and kayaking, pristine beaches and stately forests. Dewees Island is a unique vacation experience, and it is not for everyone. You'll need to be comfortable packing lightly, navigating shell roads on golf carts with a map and flashlight, and making do when you've forgotten something. The ferry ride is a beautiful 20 minute ride from the Isle of Palms. You may see wildlife like dolphins, oystercatchers, and eagles along the ride. Ferry rides are $8.00 per person each way.
