Watson Property Management Group Owners:
Stewart and Emily Watson

Emily and Stewart are the proud owners of Dewees Rentals, aka Watson Property Management Group. They are committed to helping residents and guests navigate the tricky balance of living (and vacationing) gently on a barrier island. Emily helped build Dewees Rentals from scratch starting in 2009, and she and Stewart took over ownership in 2014. She manages reservations, interns, and rental homes from her office in Mount Pleasant. With a background in teaching, Emily never dreamed that she would someday own a vacation rental company! When asked why she does what she does she states, "I love connecting with owners and guests alike! There's nothing more gratifying than witnessing guests arriving in one state of mind (coming from their successful and busy lives) and leaving feeling more grounded and at peace with nature."  She also keeps tabs on their two curious and energetic kids and large dog. In her spare time, Emily loves cooking, design, music, and yoga. She blogs about healthy recipes and the whirlwind of today's parenting at LittleBabyWatson.com. Stewart is the partner you're more likely to see on the island. With a background in construction, he is better known to be rescuing someone from a tricky golf cart situation or taking on a repair. Between the two of them, there's no stone left unturned on Dewees!

Intern Program on Dewees Island:

Each summer, Dewees Rentals hires two hospitality interns. They are college students looking to further their education with hands on experience in the hospitality industry. These interns spend the summer living on Dewees and quickly becoming experts of the area! They are responsible for communicating with guests, coordinating arrival and departure times, creating programs for guests and residents, and greeting guests upon arrival and departure. They are a huge part of creating and managing other programs like advertising and marketing, website management, and social media. They are such an asset to Dewees Rentals and the island!
